Dr. Rick Racioppi

Many patients ask me how I got into Chiropractic.  I believe my interest in and for Chiropractic began when I played football in high school and college and encountered other injured players.  Seeing my injured teammates and wanting to help them with their physical therapy and rehabilitation, as well as wanting to help myself when injured, inspired me to delve into the field of Chiropractic.

During my football career, I was inducted into both Belleville High School's and The University of New Haven’s Hall of Fames, respectively, for football.  Next, I went on to test my football talents in the Pro’s.  In 1985, I was signed by the New England Patriots, but was unfortunately let go the following year.  In1986, I was picked up by the NY Giants and let go that same year as well.  As fun as it was, playing linebacker for so many years took a toll on my body.  During my football run, I was no stranger to physical therapy and rehab.  Through my own therapies and sports rehabs, I was introduced to Chiropractic.  Chiropractic became a part of my football rehab and I soon began to believe in its possibilities once my injuries began to heal.  Chiropractic was a life saver for my body.

After my college graduation and my disappointment with the Pro’s, I decided to devote my career to Chiropractic instead of to football.  I moved my life from North Jersey to Marietta, Georgia where I attended Life University College of Chiropractic.
After Graduation from Life University as a Doctor of Chiropractic, I worked for a little while in Atlanta and then eventually moved to Collegeville, PA, where I worked for 3 years before I opened my own clinic in 1998.  My Chiropractic Clinic is called Progressive Rehab Family Chiropractic.  During my 16 years of practice as a Chiropractor I have received Honors, Awards and Certifications in:

    •    Manipulation under Anesthesia (MUA)
    •    Spinal Decompression Therapy
    •    Children and Pregnant Patient Adjusting
    •    Postural Correction
    •    Pain Management
    •    Spinal Correction
    •    Physiotherapy
    •    Chiropractic Care
    •    Kinesio Taping
    •    Sports and Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
    •    Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP)
    •    Personal Injury treatment and management
    •    Workers Compensation treatment and management
    •    Work Safety Programs

Also, during my 16 years of practice, I have opened 9 locations in Montgomery, Chester and Philadelphia counties.  In the last 2 years, I have downsized my practice to 2 locations.  My main office is located in Royersford, PA.  It is called Progressive Rehab Family Chiropractic.  My second office is located in Philadelphia, PA.  My office in Philadelphia specializes in treating Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation cases.

My good fortune has not stopped with my career success.  In 2007, I married my soul mate and now wife Angela, and in December of 2010 she gave birth to our beautiful son, Nicholas.
I have always believed that you do not have to take life the way it comes to you. You can design your life to come to you the way you want it to.  So please don’t put your health on hold any longer.  Your health is the most important thing you have.  You need to be healthy to be able to care for the people you love.  I believe that regular Chiropractic care is the best gift you can give yourself.

Always remember, "To the world you may be just one person, but to one person you may be the world."

Your health should always come first!  Progressive Rehab puts you first!
